Skill-building training is a structured program designed to enhance specific abilities or competencies in individuals or teams. Skill building is the process of acquiring, improving, or developing skills to meet personal or professional goals. Skill development is of key importance in stimulating a sustainable development process. The main objective of skill development is to create a workforce that is equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge so as to enable them to gain access to decent employment.
Skills development is generally used to refer to the productive capabilities acquired through all levels of learning and training, occurring in formal, non-formal, informal and on-the-job settings. It enables individuals to become fully and productively engaged in livelihoods, and to have the opportunity to adapt these capabilities to meet the changing demands and opportunities of economy and labour market.
In order to enhance the hilly dwellers particularly tribal in Dhimbam hills, this center organized one month skill development programme such as Lantana camara furniture making and Herbal products making with the support of NABARD. Follow to the training programme, established Common Facility Center (CFC) at this center.
